The Shepherding Team is focused on creating opportunities for the members of Aldersgate to connect and build relationships with one another. The Shepherding Team wants to show how essential Aldersgate can be to you and how essential you are to Aldersgate. If you have any questions, contact our Shepherding Team Leader.
There are many programs and ministries that the Shepherding Team facilitates.
Visitation and Communion for Homebound Members:
The Shepherding Team coordinates weekly visits to homebound members to provide recordings of the worship service. Communion is also provided monthly to members in retirement homes.
The death of a family member creates a difficult and stressful time. The Shepherding Team coordinates the cooking and serving of meals for members and their families following a funeral service.
Fifth Sunday Food & Friendship Lunches:
Each month that has a 5th Sunday, the Shepherding Team in conjunction with a Sunday School class or other church group, hosts a lunch following the regular Sunday worship service. These lunches provide a time for the entire church to fellowship and connect with one another.
New Member Orientation:
Are you a New Member at Aldersgate? The Shepherding Team will make sure that you have all the information you need to get plugged in and will be available to answer any questions you may have.
Stewardship at Aldersgate is about giving cheerfully and generously. Our stewardship program encourages members of Aldersgate to give of their tithes, time, talents and ministry to others. This is done in connection with prayer, Bible reading and worship as each person discerns God’s call to him or her. Opportunities are provided throughout the year for members to give offerings. A yearly financial stewardship campaign is conducted each fall.
